"I'd never seen such kindness,"

VNA Care Network & Hospice recently launched a $2 million capital campaign to renovate the Stanley R. Tippett Home, a hospice home in Needham for the terminally ill, as well as establish a patient care fund.

For nearly two decades, this hospice residence has given solace to more than 2,000 patients and loved ones navigating the final weeks of life. The Tippett Home offers a homelike setting for terminally ill patients to live and receive hospice, a combination of physical, emotional, practical, and spiritual support. Loved ones also receive support, and care helps both patients and families focus on life.

The Tippett Home needs repairs and renovations associated with nearly two decades of service to the community. These updates and the creation of a patient care fund will help ensure the residence continues bringing comfort to those coping with terminal illnesses such as cancer, pulmonary disease, cardiac disease, Alzheimer's, and AIDS.

Putting Donations to Work Locally

Contributions to the Tippett Home capital campaign will address four key areas:

  • Patient and family comfort
  • Energy efficiency
  • Outdoor improvements
  • Patient care fund for grief and bereavement services and provision of hospice care for those in need
