Kids' Place Reaccredited by NAEYC
Kids' Place, VNA Care Network's child care center at 1100 High St. in Dedham, recently earned reaccreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation's leading organization of early childhood professionals.
"By earning accreditation, Kids' Place has become a leader in a national effort to raise the quality of early childhood education and to help give all children a better start," said Mark Ginsberg, Ph.D., executive director of NAEYC.
Kids' Place has cared for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children for more than 20 years. The center includes year-round day care, full-day programs for elementary grades during vacations and holidays, hourly drop-in care, certified kindergarten, and morning kindergarten readiness program.
NAEYC created its accreditation program in 1985 to set professional standards for early childhood education and to help families identify high-quality child care and early education. Programs are observed by independent, professional validators and then reviewed by a national panel.
