Bette Hunt created this year's Pops logo
painting of Abbot Hall.
Tickets are on sale now for one of the most festive holiday traditions on the North Shore — the 14th Annual Holiday Pops Concert — on Saturday evening, Dec. 10, at Abbot Hall in Marblehead, Massachusetts. The Holiday Pops reception will begin at 7 p.m. The concert will begin at 8 p.m.
Maestro Dirk Hillyer and The Hillyer Festival Orchestra are preparing an enchanted selection of musical compositions complete with a holiday sing-along and musical surprises.
Another date to mark on the calendar is Thursday, Nov. 10, for the Artist Reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Abbot Library honoring Bette Hunt as she unveils the 2011 Holiday Pops logo painting. This artwork, featuring Abbot Hall, will then be on display for the remaining weeks leading up to the concert before it is raffled off at the Holiday Pops concert.
Floor tickets are $50 each and available exclusively through the mail (download the ticket order form).
Tickets for balcony seats will be available in person in Marblehead at Arnould Gallery and Framery, 111 Washington St.; Marblehead Bank, 21 Atlantic Ave.; National Grand Bank, 91 Pleasant St.; and Spirit of '76 Bookstore, 107 Pleasant St. They can also be purchased at VNA Care Network & Hospice, 5 Federal St., Danvers (directions).
