Holiday Pops Tickets on Sale
Tickets are on sale now for the 12th annual Holiday Pops Concert at Abbot Hall, Marblehead, on Saturday, Dec. 12.
This holiday tradition has given back nearly $300,000 to the community (100 percent of profits) through VNA Care Network & Hospice and the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor. VNA Care Network & Hospice's proceeds go to patient care (including home health, hospice for the terminally ill, and wellness programs) in the Marblehead/Swampscott community. The Rotary proceeds benefit community, district, and international projects of the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor including Polio Plus, Pure Water for the World, local scholarships, and a variety of other charitable causes.
Reception and Concert
The gala evening begins with a dessert reception at 7 p.m. The concert follows at 8 p.m. featuring seasonal classics and orchestral favorites performed by The Hillyer Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Dirk Hillyer. Soprano Rosie Hunter will be the guest soloist.
This year's raffle features an original painting (pictured) by
artist Cindy McCann. There will also be an auction for Maestro Hillyer's baton which brings the opportunity to conduct the orchestra for one song
during the concert.
Floor tickets are sold out. Balcony tickets are $35 each and available through the mail (ticket form) and in-person at The Garden Collection, 115 Washington St., Marblehead; The Arnould Gallery, 111 Washington St., Marblehead; and National Grand Bank, 91 Pleasant St., Marblehead.
Raffle for Original Art
Raffle tickets for this year's original Holiday Pops artwork are $5 each or three for $10 and will be available in advance through the mail (merchandise/raffle ticket order form). Your purchase will be confirmed, and your tickets will be placed directly into the raffle drawing. Tickets will also be on sale at the event.
Prints and Note Cards
While the original will be raffled the night of the concert, everyone can purchase copies of the art. Note cards are available in packages of 12 with envelopes for $10. Individual 18 by 18 inch fine art giclees printed on archival fine art watercolor paper are $75 each.
Prints and note cards may be ordered through the mail (merchandise/raffle ticket order form). Items will be held for pickup on the evening of the concert unless otherwise requested. Prints and note cards can also be purchased the night of the event at Abbot Hall.
