A free bereavement support group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on alternate Thursdays at the Christ Episcopal Church, Zero Garden St., Cambridge, in the vestry room (directions). The group is open to adults who are coping with the loss of a loved one due to death. The meeting schedule is: Dec. 22, Jan. 5 and 19, and Feb. 2 and 16. A free bereavement support group meets from 1 to 3 p.m. on alternate Thursdays at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1360 Highland Ave., Needham, in the Lindsey Room. The group is open to adults who are coping with the loss of a loved one due to death. Upcoming meetings: Dec. 29, Jan. 12 and 26, and Feb. 9 and 23. Directions: From Route 95 (north and south) take Exit 19B (Needham/Highland Avenue). The exit will take you directly onto Highland Avenue (the church is approximately 1.7 miles from the exit). Go through four sets of lights. The church is at the fifth set of lights on the left side of the street. Enter from May Street and go downstairs to the Lindsey Room. VNA Care Network & Hospice offers a free bereavement support group for adults who are coping with the death of a loved one. The group meets twice monthly from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on the second Wednesday and from 6 to 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday. Meetings are held at agency headquarters, 120 Thomas St., Worcester (directions). Parking is available adjacent to the building. No meetings in January and February.
