Cultural Competency Program
VNA Care Network & Hospice's Cultural Competency Program promotes cross-cultural communication, awareness, sensitivity, and understanding between and among health care professionals and the patients they serve.
In addition to an internal Cultural Resource Center for VNA Care Network & Hospice staff, the Cultural Competency Program offers the
following services to other organizations:
- Communicating Across Boundaries: Cultural Competency Training Workshops
- Consultation Services
- Train the Trainer Institute
- Resources
CULTURAL DIVERSITY COUNCIL
The Cultural Competency Program receives guidance from the Cultural Diversity Council. Council members are African American, Asian Indian, Cambodian, Chilean, Chinese, Haitian, Portuguese, Puerto Rican, Russian, Sudanese, and Vietnamese.
