Train the Trainer Institute
The Cultural Competency Program's Train the Trainer Institute offers organizations a cost-effective way to provide ongoing internal education in cultural competency by training their own staff to become educators.
The three-day Trainer's Institute is based on the successful Communicating Across Boundaries model developed by the National Asian Women's Health Organization (NAWHO). Each of the teaching units includes a set of learning objectives, key messages, and skill building exercises. Each participant receives a curriculum binder and a computer disk with a PowerPoint presentation, which will serve as the foundation for tailoring an internal staff education program.
The Train the Trainer Institute is available to contracting organizations or groups and requires at least five months' notice for planning and scheduling.
